What We Cover

Our Wedding Insurance is a comprehensive insurance package designed to cover all aspects of your wedding. Our Wedding Insurance is available for purchase up to 18 months prior to your wedding.

There are four levels of cover, so ensure you choose the one that gives you peace of mind for your wedding. Ensure that you read our Product Disclosure Statement for full details.

LOSS OF DEPOSITS AND OTHER EXPENSES

Cancellation and Postponement

We will pay for expenses incurred when your wedding is cancelled or postponed in the event of:

a. Your booked venue becoming unavailable

b. Death of the bride, groom and/or their immediate family members

c. The bride, groom and/or their immediate family members experiencing a sudden illness or injury requiring hospitalisation

d. Severe weather conditions preventing the bride and groom from getting to their wedding

Rescheduling

Covers additional expenses to reschedule your event. We will reimburse you for additional costs to reschedule the wedding and reception, should it need to be cancelled or postponed.

Failure of Suppliers

Covers lost deposits and additional costs needed to arrange alternative services. We will reimburse you for deposits lost due to vendors who provide contracted services, and help pay for additional costs to arrange equivalent services (e.g. caterers, entertainment, etc.)

Specific Property

We will compensate you for the cost to repair or replace the following wedding property that is either damaged or stolen up to the selected coverage limit:

Wedding attire
Wedding rings
Wedding gifts

Wedding Documents

We will pay up to the amount shown in the Benefit Table following loss or damage to wedding documents occurring within 24 hours before and after the wedding. Reimbursement or replacement of documents is subject to the insurer's discretion, except for what is specifically excluded under ‘We will not pay’ in the Product Disclosure Statement.

Damage to Hire Marquees, Furniture and Equipment

Automatically included for all levels. We will pay up to the amount shown in the Benefit Table in respect of loss or damage to marquees or tents including gazebos, staging, flooring, chairs, tables, furniture, household or lighting equipment hired during the wedding period except as specifically excluded under ‘We will not pay’ in the Product Disclosure Statement.

Contract Disputes

We will negotiate for your legal rights in a contractual dispute arising from an agreement which you have entered into for the buying or hiring of any goods or services, in respect of your wedding. We will also pay for any legal proceedings in courts within Australia. We will pay costs and expenses up to the limit shown in the Benefit Table for contract disputes which have a date of occurrence within the period of insurance. If an appointed representative is used, we will pay the costs and expenses incurred for this. We will only provide this cover if there is a reasonable chance of recovering damages, or of a successful defence in the event of a civil claim.

Personal Liability

Automatically included for all levels. We will indemnify you up to $5,000,000 under all plans in respect of your legal liability arising from accidental injury to third parties or accidental loss of or damage to third party property. We will also pay for legal costs and expenses in defending any claim in respect to such injury, loss or damage except as specifically excluded under We will not pay in the Product Disclosure Statement.
